The Do We Owe You Money? section helps members check for unclaimed capital credits, refunds, or other funds that may be due to them. If you are a past or current member, you can verify if you have money waiting to be claimed.

Unclaimed Funds & Credits

When Adams Electric retires  Ownership Rewards (patronage capital) to its current and former members, traditionally some of that money remains unclaimed after a year. By law, this money cannot be used to affect rates; therefore, the co-op uses the unclaimed funds to support high school and adult post-secondary education scholarships, invest in community projects and events, and aid members struggling to pay their electric bills.

But ultimately, the goal is to return the funds to their proper owners. If you know any one on this list, please have them contact Member Services Coordinator Rebecca Witherow at rebeccaw@adamsec.coop, or call 1-800-726-2324 so we may take the proper steps to return these rewards to their rightful owners.
