U-Shift Off-Peak

U-Shift Off-Peak Rate asks members to install a separate panel and meter base (at their expense). The co-op then provides about a 40 percent rate reduction for all the electricity that flows through that panel. Receive a one-time installation bill credit when a new panel is installed.

Connect a Level II electric vehicle charger to the off-peak panel and receive a one-time installation bill credit - plus the approximately 40 percent rate reduction for charging.

U-Shift Off-Peak Rate Program

Install a separate subpanel at your expense and receive over a 40 percent reduction on the energy supply portion of your bill for the electricity that flows through that subpanel (Sometimes referred to as an ETS panel). Keep in mind, anything connected to the subpanel may be interrupted during times of peak demand. The off-peak meter is installed on your subpanel for free by the co-op. Shown in the picture, you can also plug-in other household equipment in the subpanel. Just do not connect anything that cannot have power interrupted to it (ex. deep freezer).

Wondering when the cooperative will shift use for separate subpanels?
