I’m a native of Pennsylvania, originally from Sayre, Pa. and currently residing in Shippensburg, with my wife, Mary. We have a son, Christopher, and a German Shepard named Maximus. I’m a military veteran, having served four years overseas in the United States Navy. I’m currently employed at Maximus Inc. as a senior director of IT, overseeing corporate IT governance and business continuity and disaster recovery programs.
Throughout my career, I have held various leadership roles within the private and government sectors working in systems engineering and IT domains, gaining comprehensive knowledge and experience in areas such as systems design, infrastructure management, disaster recovery, cybersecurity, cloud computing, and digital transformation.
I have been a member of Adams Electric for over 31 years, and I look forward to the opportunity to continue to serve on the cooperative board of directors, contributing to the perpetual success and commitment to community that has been exhibited throughout its 85-year history. I am proud to support Adams Electric and its members in participating in the Project Helping Hand Round-Up program and the U-Shift, U-$ave initiatives.
I hold a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from Penn State University, a master’s degree in information systems from Shippensburg University, and master’s degree in business administration from Mount St. Mary’s University. I have certifications in program management, Government Chief Information Officer (GCIO), IT project management and Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL).
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time outdoors with family, gardening, and reading. I’m committed to making a positive impact in the community, volunteering for Habitat for Humanity and Junior Achievement Real Life and STEM programs.
I’m a seasoned executive, serving in various leadership roles in both private and government sectors. I’ve had the honor and privilege of serving on the AEC Board for the last five-months and recently obtained my NRECA-CCD certification. I’m confident in my abilities to work diligently with the CEO/General manager and fellow board members to successfully achieve mission objectives and serve the best interest of the members.
Adams Electric faces numerous challenges associated with maintenance and upgrades of aging infrastructure, uncertainty of increasing extreme weather events, integration of renewable energy sources, digital transformation, regulatory compliance, ensuring the security of critical infrastructure, systems, and data. Finding the funds for these investments while keeping rates affordable for its members.
Serving as an Adams Electric Director would be a rewarding learning and growth opportunity, as well as a fulfilling and meaningful way to give back to the community, leverage my skills and expertise, advocating for the interests of its members, and contributing to long-term success of an essential service provider.
As a lifelong member of this community, I am deeply committed to upholding the values in my role on the board, if reelected, I would represent the best interest of our member-owners and ensure that Adams Electric Cooperative remains a reliable affordable and sustainable provider of electricity.
