Geroge Weikert Candidate Questions
I have been involved in creating budgets and adhering to budgets throughout my career. As a Construction Manager for the telephone company, a Gettysburg Area School District Director, a Cumberland Township Supervisor, and an Adams County Commissioner I have gotten extensive budgetary experience. My background in pole line construction should also be a strength I would bring to the Board. Customer service has always been at the top of my agenda and would blend well with the great customer service efforts that the co-op already has in place.
I believe the greatest challenge for the co-op in the coming years is working with the power supply market to get the most reliable power at the most affordable price. Continued efforts in employee safety and training should also be a priority.
Community service has always been deep in my heart, and I would love to continue that journey with the Adams Electric community of patrons. I am retired and I do have the time and talents to continue to serve and volunteer in my community. Adams Electric is a wonderful organization, and I would be proud to serve as one of its directors.

I believe the budgetary experience I have gained through my service as an elected school director, township supervisor and county commissioner will be a strength I could bring to the co-op board if elected. My experience in copper cable, fiber optics and pole line construction gained over 40 years as an employee of the United Telephone Company of Pa., and as a construction manager with Henkels and McCoy, should also add to my ability to serve proudly as an Adams Electric director. Community service has always been a very important part of my life, and I would love to continue that journey with the Adams Electric membership. Adams Electric is a wonderful organization, and I would be proud and honored to serve as one of its directors.
