Dale Myers Candidate Questions
My experience (6 years) on the Board, including time spent on all standing committees; Audit, Budget and Finance, Governance (currently serving as chair), Strategic Risk, MEG, Scholarship, and Adams Energy, LLC. I also serve on the MACS (Aero Energy) Board and as an alternate board member on the PREA Board.
The primary challenge is, and always will be, providing members with reliable, cost-efficient energy. Secondly is meeting the challenges of increasing renewable dependence and government regulations, decreasing the use of fossil fuels -- all while keeping open lines of communication with our membership.
I like the challenge of membership on a Board of Directors and the unique make-up of a rural electric cooperative like Adams continues to challenge and intrigue me. I want to be a part of the shaping of the future, while maintaining the reputation others have built during the 80-plus years of the cooperative.
“I now bring six years of experience serving on the Board. I have achieved my CCD certification, my Board Leadership Certification (BLC) and my BLC Gold (highest level) certification. I am dedicated to diligently protecting members’ interests in the cooperative by making common sense decisions and performing my duties with the highest level of integrity.”
